Elections to Board of National Experts.

Members of the Board of Experts are elected by ballot at LAS Assembly (Conference) for a period of 3 years upon the presentation of the Cousil of LAS and Counsils (Bureaus) of LAS regional centers. The decision is passed by a qualified majority of 2/3 of votes. The nomination of candidates to Memebers of the Board of Expertsare supplied to above mentioned Counsils no later than 1.5 months prior to elections from organizations - corporate mebers of LAS; the Experts nominated do not have to be employees of nominating organizatuions. The right of nominating candidates to members of the Board of Experts is also granted to government bodies in CIS countries financing National programs on laser equipment and its applications. The list of candidates to members of the Board of Experts is published in "Laser-Inform" Bulletin for public discussions.
